Also--PI Feedback forum user Justin posted this look back at the ratings over the years at their forum here: They don't have the data from 2004, and of course, ratings are down across the board overall from a few years ago, but interesting to see how NY performed over the past few years. I wish they had the 2004 ratings there.
Down from last week, which I think we all expected - but I believe the ratings were better than any other episode since the premiere (in overall viewers, at least - I think the 18-49 score as been pretty consistent for a lot of the episodes). 6.08 "Cuckoo's Nest": From PI Feedback as usual.
Having been only able to watch the first three live (then moved and only JUST got cable/internet back) and the rest online in the last two days *YAY!!!*, I think the main reason the ratings dropped off soooooo dramatically in the beginning and have bounced back is that they cleaned things up a bit. Not the time line obviously (that's a hopeless case), but I remember being very pissed off after the premiere with all that emphasis on the minor characters in the show and quite ticked at the lack of Mac screen time. It was like the show had suddenly become a jumbled mess of this new person and that new thing and......yeesh! I'm a diehard CSI NY fan, and if I was severely annoyed, think of what the masses thought of the mush. I was actually kinda scared about where the show was heading, but fortunately, if IF they keep doing what they did this past week, all will be right with the world! *to the writers: NEVER EVER bring Haylen back!* There, I've said my piece!
Happy Turkey Day, America! Ratings were down again last night, but maybe everybody was getting prepared for Thanksgiving. 6.09 "Manhattanhenge": From PI Feedback as usual.
First new episode of 2010. 6.12 "Criminal Justice": That's the highest rating in total viewers since the premiere. (Going from the overnight ratings, of course.) From PI Feedback.
Great to see the episode did so well! I thought it was a good one--hopefully it will hold steady in the coming weeks as well.
I'm always very happy when I see the ratings for CSI: NY. They are doing so well, and I hope there are many more seasons to come. Anway, I'm just not feeling Season 6 that much. I don't know what it is, the episodes are good & enjoyable at times, but something is definitely missing.
Of coarse it was down, some places the episode at aired 3:30 am because of the basketball game. To be honest it's higher than I thought it would be.
