It's that time of the year again. Daylight Saving Time begins at 2:00am, March 11, when we turn the clock AHEAD one hour. In other words, you might lose an hour of sleep and I, and many others, who work a night shift lose an hour of pay.

The state of Hawaii and most of Arizona do not observe DST. Last year, the Indiana legislature voted to begin observing daylight saving time statewide.

Most of Mexico and Canada also observes DST but parts do not. To find out if your area does or doesn't, check out the Wikipedia page concerning it. Another good page is WebExhibits.

Okay...this stuff messes with my ability to get everything ready for such change. Change clocks that don't change by themselves. Triple checking to make sure all clocks are set right and then I can relax.

::::Begins mental calculation of how many clocks need to be changed by hand:::::

Does this mean I get an hour of sleep or I lose an hour?

I live in Indiana and never had to change before, Now I do, I'm still kind of confused about it all.

As I said in the first post of this thread, you lose an hour of sleep.

Some jobs do but some don't. But when the next time change occurs in the fall and I am working, I usually get paid time and a half for the extra hour.

Is it me or does this time change really mess your body up?
After a time change it is like I walk around in this daze, not saying I walk around that way, for a few weeks.

Since I work nights and I'm still adjusting to that, I wonder if I will have to revert back to ingesting large amounts of caffine to cope.

I actually managed to remember, thanks to someone at my school who posted reminders!
I'll be another one who will be messed up for about a week on sleep.

Re: Time Change in US April 2

Remember at the end of fall, you no longer change the time back at the end of October. Starting this year change your clocks back an hour at the end of November.

    Wrong, but close.
"Beginning in 2007, it will start DST on the second Sunday in March, and change back to standard time on the first Sunday in November."
