this thread is interesting but i didn't see it the first time. my type is AB+ my father has A, my mother B, my brother 0. all types in one familiy :lol: AB is rare in austria but the positive thing is that you can receive all other types. i also read that i can't have a child with blood group 0.
inge can have a baby with someone who has blood group O but the baby won't have blood group O, as its not dominant, the baby will be either A,B or AB.
^ Ahh, thanks for clearing that up! I almost thought that because of the difference in blood types, people can't have babies.
I'm O+ appearantly (or atleast what my mom thinks I am.).. Dad and Mom are the same, but I honestly don't really know. ^^;
well im 0- :lol: thats funny you know cause i thought that after AB, 0+ was the most uncommon one but it seems like mine was the most uncommon then my parents are B+ and A- , thats why im 0-: cause their "rhesus" are opposite
I think my parents told me a while ago that my blood type is A+, so that's what I put. I think it would be good to donate blood and I admire people who can do it, but I never have. I have a genetic defect (Factor V Leiden) that causes my blood to clot more easily than is normal, and although the doctors say it shouldn't affect my donating blood, I still can't bring myself to do it. I think it's more of a pyschological thing than physical, but the weird thing is, I'm not really afraid of needles or anything like that - it's just that whenever I think about giving blood, I automatically think about the blood tests I had to take after my dad collapsed and nearly died from a blood clot in his lungs, brought on by surgery and Factor V Leiden. *takes deep breath* Okay, and that's way more information than anyone here wanted to know, I'm sure. Sorry!
