As we're a few episodes behind in the UK, let's have a thread (like the one over on the NY board) where we can discuss season 8 as we see the episodes on Five, so we can stay spoiler-free. Post your episode reviews here after each one airs.

The episode shown tonight is "You Kill Me". Looks interesting as it's a lab rats episode.

I am really looking forward to tonight's episode. I love the lab rats.
It's a good idea for a UK thread.
Bring on the comedy of Hodges tonight!
Also everyone don't forget part 2 of season 7 is out to buy now.

you are so lucky, I'm in France and the last episode we see Sunday evening was season 7 episode 11 (When grissom leave for sabbatical).
Hopefully there is Internet so we can see new episode.

Woo! A thread I can read without covering my eyes lol, I've been staying spoiler free and its sooo tempting to read some of the threads around here! :)

Just watched tonights episode "You Kill Me" - I've got to say I was dubious when I first read the TV review, but I really enjoyed it! There were some great lol moments, though I find it a little unsettling to the tone of the series when they do these 'comedyesque' episodes, they did manage to cushion the blow from the previous weeks episode as anything else I think would have paled in comparison.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out who at the end of it all did confront (not quite but I can't think of a better word) Grissom over Sara's leaving.

PS: What do you guys think of Wendy's comments on taking the field test? Is this something to read into or just something to throw us off?

    I absolutley loved tonight CSI.
Warrick, Nick, Catherine and Greg processing the scenes had me hysterical and David at the end no signs of sexual trauma.
I do like the comedy episodes and this is one of the best I've seen.
I also liked them all trying to confront and comfort Grissom after Sara's departure. I like how it was Hodges who made the most sense. What was up with Greg in the corridor with Grissom?
I think Brass was on form with his interrogation of Bobby and poor Bobby.
Hodghes death pose actually scared me.
Overall a great episode and I really want the lab rats board game.

Yes! I forgot about that bit! Hmm, I wonder what that was all about? Then again, we don't know what had happened prior to this episodes events.

I wonder if it's got something to do with Grissom's lack of 'fight' for his relationship with Sara, which Brass touched upon at the start, Greg did have a close relationship with Sara and could be putting the blame on Grissom for her leaving. Thoughts?

Anyone else concerned about Warrick's casual invitation to Nick to hit the casino's? I thought he'd quit all that and made a point to avoid it (though a little hard when living in Vegas lol)

And yes, I do want the lab rats game! Do I smell franchise tie in?

I said at the beginning of the episode that maybe Hodges' wants to go into the field so when Wendy said it I was like hmm.
Yeah it did worry me about the casino thing - they made such a big deal of Warrick's addictions at the beginning to just slyly slip in the comment. I did love Nick trying to get Grissom out for breakfast.
I said in the Greg thread - I'd like tension between Greg and Grissom. I think Greg could be the one person who understands what Grissom is going through.

I really like tonight's episode and I had to record it for my friend, so I think it is one that I'll be keeping. :D I really liked the fact that it was a much more light hearted if we can could call it that... After the drama of Sara's departure last week. I hope Wendy does go into the field, maybe she will take over Sara's spot... Who knows... Just a thought... Oh and I really want Wendy and Hodges to get together after watching tonight's ep, the scene with them in the locker room, Wendy was making completely clear how she felt about him, but he was too stupid to pick up on it. I'd really like them to end up together.

I think Hodges believes that if he ever were to go out into the field he would be somewhere on par with Grissom. Anything else would certainly not be good enough for him, which is what I think stops him from ever entertaining the notion of moving into the field. Where he's at in the labs he's king (or so he believes if perceived from tonight's episode lol)

I've (accidentally) seen some things relating to storylines further in the series and I won't spoil anything. But I don't like the way they've just been picking Warrick up and down during the past couple of seasons with no continuity or explanation of his storylines. I know its not supposed to be about their personal lives, but it does make an impact. One minute he's married the next he's not with little announcement. I just wish there was some continuity - it should be interesting to see where they go with Warrick as the season goes on, if this is just a one off?

Aww, I loved Nick & Grissom's exchange! Trying to show he cares without making it obvious but failing somewhere in the middle. I'd go to breakfast with you Nicky!

I've been noticing this for a while, even in the last season. She's the only one who'll stand up to him - not sure where I see it going. Though I wouldn't be surprised if he's harboring a crush on Wendy! :)

I do love how Hodges believes he is king of the lab. That was clearly Greg's title until he went into the field. Hodges' has just slotted into that role.
I always feel like Warrick is at the back of episodes. I think tonight he was in for the longest I've known. He is the character that doesn't make much of an impact. It sounds terrible but I wish they would finsih what they start with Warrick.

I totally agree with you - I love Warrick, but he's slipped to the back starting from way back! As the one true Las Vegas native, aside from Catherine (though this does differ between whichever 'official' bio you read), you'd think they'd build something new for him rather than quashing old plot lines and rehashing them for the sake of little work.

I'm curious how the affect of Sara's absence is going to play out now. The CSI franchise aren't always known for continuity. But for a character like Sara I can't see them getting away without some damage control!

I loved tonights ep...esp after the cry fest I had last week. I've already seen season 8 so I won't give anything away...just wanted to come and leave my thoughts now that everyone else has seen it.

Personally, I was a big fan of the "Lab Rats" ep and when I heard that they were doing it again I couldn't wait. My mom, on the other hand doesn't like these kind of episodes...goodness knows why! I definately agree that there were some LOL moments but I also think that there were some touching moments. I liked how everyone tried to comfort Grissom after Sara's depature and feel that they all made valid points although Hodges (of all people) probably said the most touching thing...which of course was dissmissed by Grissom, although I do think he took it in, in his own way.

David in this ep had me howling "No sign of sexual trauma". The popped collars on Warrick, Nick and Grissom are a cool thing too and its surprising how well Grissom carries it off. I loved how they looked directly into the camera while the lab techs were working things out.

I also think that Greg in some way thinks that Grissom is to blame for Sara leaving. Maybe he feels that he should have gone after and convinced her to stay...but in the words of Hodges when someone wants to move on "You can't get in the way of that". Lets just hope she comes back soon.

Overall, I feel that this ep created some light relief after last weeks heavy episode and definately had me and my sister in fits of giggles...esp Hodges dead facial expression.
