    Re: Eric and Calleigh #37

I haven't lost hope either. This is their MAJOR road block that every tv couple goes through and now that I know it is about trust issues, or so Eric insinuates, it makes more sense to me.

Funny how Eric says Cal has trust issues but then so does he!! He obviously didn't trust her enough to believe that she didn't shoot at him on purpose! I mean if she didn't trust him...why didn't she turn him in then when she suspected he was helping his dad? Hmmmmm

It is basically very obvious that they haven't talked about what happened and how they "saw" it happen AT ALL!

I also really think that the "missing memory" from the glades is going to somehow tie in with them. There is just no way that him being in the glades can be explained away with him not remembering. I mean he tells the IA Agent that he was going to escort his father into MDPD so then why the hell was he in the glades???? It is a good question....hopefully one that will be answered. There is something more going on.

I also find it promising that neither of them are literally throwing the other under the bus. They are simply telling the investigators how "they" saw things happen. They are, imo, being truthful.

But I still have faith...it will be hard to watch but I think it will be good. I never wanted their relationship to be boring and hopefully this will allow the writers to spice things up with them ;) they are two very passionate people...case in point this situation...and that has to come out somehow.

I am also hoping that Emily gets her wish...both on screen and off. B/c that would fit into this storyline nicely too. I mean if they are going to do the "over the top cliche" thing then that definately fits right in ;)

Yes, MAJOR freaking out's definitely on! :scream: I was so looking forward to watching Sink or Swim tonight... And now this...:( I'm really getting anxious now for the 8th season to start. I guess that's what the writers are aiming for: to get us all worked up for the show... Cliche or not, it's working!

OMG! My heart has just broken in two.

His former girlfriend. Oh I really, really do hope that this is just for show just like when Calleigh was with the other guy who shall remain nameless.

I can see that they both have trust issues like delkolover said. I just hope that it isn't harsh when he says his former girlfriend ( I just had a vision of Eric being really pissed off when he is talking to IAB)

I know that every couple has their problems, they will work through these problems, they are going to have lots of little delko-duquesne babies running around.

    Re: Eric and Calleigh #37

Interestingly when Cal is talking to Stetler about what happened and he says she fired a shot at Eric who was fleeing a scene with a known felon. Cal says at the time it looked like that but now I know he wasn't fleeing. she says.

Obviously she thought he was committing a crime...hell we all did....what is interesting is that she seems to have just found out that he wasn't fleeing. Question is; who did she hear it from? Eric or IA?

Gonna say it again; it is obvious they sooooo need to talk!!

I said it in the spoiler thread and I will post it here as well....I am wondering (you should read my spoiler thread post this will make more sense then) if she will throw herself under the bus in order to save him in some way. I mean she must be feeling guilty that 1) she shot at him and 2) she didn't believe in him enough to know that he would never cross the line. It was a grey area imo b/c I too honestly thought he was crossing the line in the finale . So I am wondering if her "guilt" will make her do something in order to make him realize he can trust or believe in her again? I mean we know Natalia gives her a hard time about how she could shoot at Eric. Everyone must be looking at her like she is the bad person...thin blue line and all. So her guilt, at least I think that is what it is when it comes to him, must be eating away at her. Cal has always been the one to "fix" everything or feel like she has to....

I am also wondering if one of them will switch shifts given the possible tension that will occur if they are on the same team?

Ok I know that I'm going to write more rationally and logically later on but I just have to react to this and say that even though I was expecting it it just makes me so... I don't even have the right words to describe it, I feel so sad :(. The "former girlfriend" thing is just so, so, sad (sorry for my lack of adjectives right now). I mean I KNOW they will get back together but I just wanted to have more time to enjoy them together and I feel it was just cut short. And I'm just watching "Sink or Swim" right now :(. ugh, I'll come back later when I can read and write more coherently.

I agree that they need to talk about what happened. Also,
I just hope Cal doesn't find out about the details of Eric's actions from Natalia! ANYBODY but her, pleaaase!
I also hope that Eric's not too hard on Cal. You know, the way he usually gets all mad and worked up, and then raises his voice.... She really doesn't deserve that :(
And finally, I hope that this nonsense doesn't last long, and they kiss and make up as early as the next episode if not in the same one.:adore: Calleigh always knew how to calm him down with just a few words, and they always had such great communication that, I just can't believe that this will last too long... Like somebody already said: we're all still waiting for our HOT AND STEAMY LOVE SCENE! I have my fingers crossed!

    Re: Eric and Calleigh #37

That is probably the one thing that I am NOT looking forward to: Eric's passionate response to things when he is or feels he has been wronged. I think we can pretty much assume that he is going to "let Cal have it" at some point. Hopefully it won't be in the lab.

However, he does call Natalia and ask if Cal was ok during the hostage situation....so we know he definately still cares. We also now know why he didn't call Cal. He is obviously mad but those deep emotions have to win out eventually...love this deep can't be ignored or flushed. So while he is angry at her that she didn't trust him, he also still cares enough to worry about her well being.

Going back to my earlier post where I was wondering if Cal would throw herself under the bus for him....think back to "Sink or Swim" when she said: "you protected me, I'll protect you." Again she probably feels guilty for everything and feels she might have failed in protecting him ....I could definately see it as being one of the possiblities that happens. Her either lying for him or throwing herself under the bus in some way...even switching shifts b/c he has been through with the bullet and all.

One thing is definately for sure; this is going to be interesting ;)

    Re: Eric and Calleigh #37

I really don't even want to think about all of this. :(

However, I believe I'm in the minority here - I would love to see Eric completely let go to Calleigh. Raising his voice, accusing her of these trust issues, all of that. Why? Not so much because I want Eric yelling at Calleigh - I don't. What I want is Calleigh's response to that; if there's one thing I love almost as much as sexy EC, it's emotional Calleigh. We've seen her argue and fight before, but not like this, and not with Eric. I don't know if she can keep the wall up - I think at the end, it would be clear to Eric that he's hurting her. Badly. And Eric can't do that and keep a clear conscience - I would like to think that it wouldn't be much longer than that that he might go to her. He needs to be the one to go to her. Hmm, fic fodder.

Of course, I would much, much rather they have a nice long talk. :( That's what they need more than anything. These two are breaking my heart. :(

On another point, I don't like this "trust issues" thing, btw. I don't know if it's already been said, but Eric has no right to accuse her of that, or be upset about it. He knows her father. He knows her past. He knows Hagen and Peter and Jake. Of course Calleigh has trust issues and he knows about it! And considering that he's been keeping secrets from her since before Sink or Swim (albeit for her protection, but still)...I just really don't like that he's throwing that back at her. That might be the part that upsets me the most. :(

    Re: Eric and Calleigh #37

You know what I hate about this kind of stuff? All of the above. This stuff has been done before, and it kind of makes me mad. I know that there are only so many ways this can be done, but I just wish that the writers could not break them up, and have them talk about this like a normal couple would. not one of those "you shot at me so we're done" type of things. I just hope the breakup doesnt last long. Like the next episode would be great to get them back together. They've only been together since 7.16 officially. :scream: As for Stetler, we all knew he'd just have to interfere in this one. His character just makes me want to :brickwall: lol...But, as of now, I'm trying to keep my mind open. We have like, what? 7 weeks? I just hope we get interviews and really good promos... :angryrazz:

Omg! I can't wait now. I'm NOT losing faith in my Hiphuggers...no matter what happens. I don't really relly on spoilers because they can be tricky. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.:p

    Re: Eric and Calleigh #37

Ok so now that I've had time to think and calm down I can write my thoughts more rationally ;). First off I have to say that I am glad we know about the spoiler were Eric calls Natalia and asks her about Cal. It means that no matter what is going on between them he definitely still cares and worries about her. I am almost 100% sure that whatever is causing their separation comes more from Eric's side than Cal. Reading the spoilers I tend to believe it has more to do with Eric being pissed that Cal didn't believe he would do the right thing than Eric being mad because she shot at him. If this is the case, and he is indeed mad at her because she didn't trust his judgment, then I tend to understand it more than if he were mad because she shot at him. HOWEVER, it is still irrational thinking b/c her lack of trust in his judgment comes about b/c he was being all secretive about his relationship with his dad which would make anyone react the way Cal did. So it all comes down to Eric having to step off his high horse and admitting he screwed up and shouldn't have done things the way he did. Anyway, I like that both of them hesitate when being questioned and especially that Cal is still thinking of protecting him. Like delkolover said "you protected me, I'll protect you" comes to mind. I agree with all that have said that if the consequences of all this is that one of them have to move to another shift then my money is on Cal doing the transfer. I think she will want to protect Eric and prevent more hardship on him and she will "sacrifice" herself. If this happens (either one of them moving) then the new character, Jesse, coming as a CSI instead of a cop makes more sense.

There's a couple of things that worry me about all this. First, I don't want it to be dragged out too long because we already went through two years of "will they/won't they" we don't need them to be dancing around each other AGAIN for a whole season. Second, I'm worried that whatever causes them to get back together will have to do with Cal being in a near death experience AGAIN and Eric coming to his senses. Either that or her being pregnant. I wouldn't want them to get back together because she's pregnant b/c that would be very D/L over at NY and people would end up saying that the only reason they got back together was b/c of the baby.

Things that I look forward to seeing since I have no choice but to accept this is happening... angst. She loves him, he loves her, they have to work together.... how will they treat each other?

Another thing that I find interesting is the fact that they are outed. I'm very curious as to how people are going to react. I have a feeling it will happen in 801 and I'm looking forward to knowing exactly how.

am I the only one that seems to see how hard it is for E/C to actually sit down and have a heart 2 heart conversation? Esp after the whole scene after the car "shows up".
Its going to be a drama filled adventure for sure from everything we've been getting.

    AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

This is so upsetting to me!! Why, they have only been together for like a month and already the writers are tearing them apart and creating bad drama. Makes me not even want to watch next season at all! Why can't they let E/C be happy for more than a few episodes, especially since they spent so long getting them together! I hate that Eric calls her his "former girlfriend"! I guess the only good that could come from this is if they producers/writers don't intend on it lasting more than 1 or 2 eps and that Calleigh finally lets her guard down and tells Eric she loves him and needs him and can't live without him, bla bla bla instead of him being the one who is desperate for her. I hope you're right delkolover that this is just a blip on the radar!

    Re: Eric and Calleigh #37

Oh no, again bad news. I've read it at work and I have to say that it did not improve my mood at all:scream:.

I really don't understand why they are torturing us so much. Why so much drama again. I don't like it, it's just completly unnecessary. I don't get it, why they spent so much time building their relationship so carefully:confused:? Just to destroy all that after only few episodes:mad:. I'm really disappointed:(.
My only hope is that maybe they are protecting each other, I mean when they speak with IAB it's natural they can't say they are together. Though it still doesn't tune me too optimistic about the future of their realtionship.

The worst part is when Eric says she's his former girlfriend:wtf:. I'd never expect to hear such a thing from his mouth.
I admit that all this information makes me not want to watch the new season.
But maybe I'm overacting and they just need to sit together and explain everything to each other calmly. It's really hard to believe that it could end so badly after such a short time.
