This isn't exactly a spoiler, but the news is on "TV By The Numbers" that AMC has just bought the syndication rights to CSI Miami for all of the first 10 years and for the next two, if they are produced. They will start showing it Jam. 2, 2012, every day Monday to Friday at 5:00PM.

I don't know how this affects the show's chances of getting more seasons. I hope it helps it. If the money paid is the same whether there are new episodes or not then we are toast, if CBS gets more money if there are more episodes then we have a good chance of continuing next year and maybe the year after.

Is that 5 central? Or eastern? Because if it's at that time I can watch it every day after work!!!! When I don't have class that is.

Shane just said on twitter that the show will likely be renewed now.

best news this month! yeah...so will CSIM still air on A&E? would be wonderful IF AMC tv broadcasts the show in correct order starting season 1...that'd be truly awesome to DVR and watch...some of us can't afford the dvd collection. Outstanding if this means now CBS will have enough money to continue creating CSIM..if they didn't it'd be interesting if AMC had enough money to film new episodes-imagine all the cool storylines if CSIM was broadcast on cable tv? fun..

checked schedule for AMC and it's continuously 5pm and on-like a marathon BUT not in order just random..good way to revisit some faves...if they won't on demand the whole 10 seasons at least this is something..I still believe enough fans exist that would love to pay for that privilege-just choose what seasons to view since Netflix won't instantly play you have to order the dvd series..technology needs to catch up..

    Hi guys,
On facebook there was a message:
Due to Live NFL football on Sunday, CSI: Miami COULD be delayed for East/Central Time Zone viewers, check here for updates

That will not help ratings. And some more spoilers regarding episode 15:
Samantha has a scene with Ryan in Interrogation and by the looks of it she is now a full pledged CSI. There’s also a scene with her and Ryan talking about the “gift”. Towards the end, there's another scene that shows Ryan asking Samantha out for drinks but the elevator doors open and out came a hunky guy who turned out to be Sam's boyfriend and the newly appointed Assistant State Attorney. Poor Ryan!

Nobody can be happy in CSI Miami after all :/

Just wondering out loud, but with a deal like this and assuming CBS also receives international orders for additional new episodes of CSI Miami, do you think they may consider moving the show to Saturday to end its run? Saturday has become a wasteland on network TV because the ad rates don't support the cost of new programming, but if CBS has shows like the two CSI spinoffs that can support their costs through other means, why not give them a shot on the night? If the CSI's bring some viewers back to Saturday, it could make the advertisers look at the night totally differently and they may be willing to pay higher rates on the night. And, if worse comes to worse, CBS can always move them back to another night during the week if their new shows tank.

Lol poor Ryan. Every time he asks someone out something crazy happens. I don't really like Sam though. She seems a bit cocky. And judging from that one scene last week, her and Ryan have zero chemistry. Ryan and Calleigh have more on-screen chemistry than that.

(that was not a ship comment, just making a comparison)

I think this will help CSI: Miami's chances of getting renewed. It shows that people still have a strong interest in this show. Here's another article on it: http://www.deadline.com/2011/12/amc-acquires-off-network-rights-on-csi-miami/

Ok, does this mean that AMC will produce seasons 11&12 if they are made? That's a little confusing.

No, they'll just get exclusive syndication rights.

No, AMC will buy the episodes from CBS if the show is still in production for seasons 11 and 12. This deal is similar to the one that CBS made with Lifetime for Medium, and it is the reason that CBS kept Medium over a higher rated show like Ghost Whisperer, which CBS co-produced with ABC.

This is really good news for CSI Miami fans. With this deal, CBS has a reason to continue producing the show because they now have a deal in place to make money off of the show beyond the ad rates for the intial telecasts.
