I think that one of the very probable reasons why Eric is not in the second episode, besides him healing, is that he did brake the law. I don't think he could go back to being CSI all that quickly. Or did I miss something here in the spoiler haven? I love the team action they have lined up...

That is very Eric to run off and save his father. Poor Calleigh, but I hope there is more to the story, because for me they are the core couple of the show, and in my case every show needs an interesting couple in the background. I like Yelina, good thing they are giving her some screen time.
