New Rules - Feb 14/09 The idea of this thread is to have people give honest feedback (constructive criticism), to help you decide what level you belong in. This is easiest if it's done anonymously. Everything said in here is meant to help iconmakers. Nothing should be taken as offensive. You may now send in artwork at any time to Dragonfly, by PM. If you cannot yet send PM's (you need to have been a member for 2 weeks and have at least 50 posts), you may email it to the hotmail address in her profile. Just be sure to put TalkCSI in the subject line! You may send in Icons (either 100x100 or 140x140), wallpapers, or banners. You can send them all in, if you want. Each type will be rated separately. Ideally, you should send in 2 or 3 of whatever type (icon, banner, wallpaper) that you want rated. It makes it easier to tell what level you're at. When you send your artwork in, please state weather you want people to just state levels, or if you just want comments, or both. ----------- Ok do to the challenges being put on hiatus - we are going to start this thread to help people figure out what category they belong in. We are going to run this similar to a challenge. However - this will be anonymous and will be rating only - no voting. This will be round #1. We will keep doing this for as long as we need to. I would like everyone to submit 2 or 3 icons. PM them to me by Saturday September 29th at 8:00 EST Any CSI cap from any of the 3 shows. No animations No vulgar words Please size all icons to 100x100 Please let me know if there are any questions!
Re: In what category I belong? - Icons This sounds like a great idea, but I just have one question-- how is the voting going to work? Are we voting for each icon individually for a certain category, etc?
Re: In what category I belong? - Icons Yep I will list each icon like a challenge and you would rate each icon indivdually - at least that is the plan. I am open for any and all suggestions. This may change as we go.
Re: In what category I belong? - Icons Well, it's nearly the same as a challenge, but instead of voting for your fav you look at all icons and vote for the category you think the icon belongs to. For example there are 20 icons to look at it should go this way: #1: advanced #2: advanced #3: beginners #4: intermediate . . . #20: beginners **ETA: Kat beat me to it

Re: In what category I belong? - Icons I dont see that happening any time soon I love the idea, I am kind lazy and the voting may seem for me like forever but I am gonna cooperate I will be sending my entries on friday probably. Just a doubt if you are allow to submit to 2 icons then if at the end of ranking you have one intermediate and the other advance...what happens what is the conclusion? Regards

Re: In what category I belong? - Icons Well, I'd say then it's up to you to make the final decision. Further more the results won't be binding, it's just an assistance, the final decision in what category you'll enter will still be yours

Re: In what category I belong? - Icons Great idea !!! ^^How about to put the icons of each icon maker in a row so they would be ranked altogether instead of separated? Uff,I don't know if I explained myself clearly... Something as icon maker 1 and the 2 or 3 icons he/she submitted,icon maker 2,etc...So you ranked all his/her job and not icons 1 by 1.
Re: In what category I belong? - Icons I guess I understand. Hm, I would leave this up to that person who organizes this category finding, this round it's Kat. If it's not too much work/too complicated to post etc. it would be a great idea. On another note: when you vote for the category you can also add some comments why you chose what you chose - only if you want to, it's not a must, but I think some icon makers would love to get some feedback on perhaps what they could improve or what is already greatly done. (and now s/o please re-read this sentence and correct all my grammar mistakes )
