The server has been very unstable of late, which has resulted in quite a bit of downtime. In addition to this when it has issues it often causes a cascade of other issues which also need attention and things can get worse.
The issues are seemingly random, and I have not been able to find any discernible cause or understand why they have suddenly started.
We will be moving to a new server – servers in fact, moving to two-server environment for the first time – so I will not be investing time in replacing key systems because the move is approaching. I am hoping that the current server can just hold out a little bit longer...
