  • The seventh season of CSI: Miami will be released on DVD September 15. Details and cover art can be viewed at TV Shows on DVD.

  • Victory Gardens Theater in Chicago, Illinois is offering an open rehearsal of Blackbird on June 25 at 6:00pm. The play stars former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation leading man William Petersen (Gil Grissom).

  • CSI: New York star Carmine Giovinazzo (Danny Messer) and former Miami actor Brendan Fehr (Dan Cooper) are two of the celebrities who will be participating in the Fifth Annual Caribbean Classic Golf Invitational (CCGI) in Montego Bay, Jamaica from June 24th - 28th. The event raises funds to supply computers to schools in economically challenged countries in the Caribbean. (Source)

  • As CSI Files previously reported, legendary actor Ed Asner is on the Emmy nomination ballot for his guest stint in the New York episode "Yahrzeit". The actor told The Hollywood Reporter why he chose the role: "I spent a week rehearsing staged readings at a Jewish community center where the amount of pay is bupkis. If I'm willing to do that for a nice piece of writing, I'm certainly willing to do it for a TV script that knocks your socks off."

  • Petersen attended the Chicago premiere of Public Enemies, the new film about legendary bank robber John Dillinger. The actor said the key to taking down Chicago crooks is to "Shoot 'em. That way you don't have to try 'em."

  • Forbes made a list of the top 10 potential superstars who scored high in audience likeability but low in awareness. Six of the 10 people are from broadcast network series. These actors are not familiar to the average television viewer, but they are popular among viewers of their individual series. CSI: NY's Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) and Miami's Emily Procter (Calleigh Duquesne) made the list, along with three other CBS actors: Michael Weatherly and Cote dePablo from NCIS, and Cobie Smulders from How I Met Your Mother.

  • Robert Hallowell will be the new Head Hairdresser for the upcoming season of CSI. Hallowell will be designing hairstyles for the cast, and he will also work with some of the stars. The hairdresser said Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) is "gorgeous with perfect alabaster skin and stunning cinnamon red hair." (Source: Hair Boutique. Thanks to Shane from TalkCSI for the heads up.)

Wonder whether CSB and TPTB will learn something from this list or they'll just go on ignoring these actors. They're all very talented, they're all beautiful people and it's just a shame CSB can't disfuit their talent and don't know how to promote them

I already stated something about this stuff concerning Emily Procter (since yeah I'm a fan of her and I also run An Award For Emily blog, waiting for someone to finally notice her), but I'm going to repeat myself 'cause this kind of things piss me off

Emily Procter may not be the best actress you've ever seen (IDK how it is possible to think something like this, but ), but you can't deny that she's very talented and, above all, she's new...she's fresh!!!! She's a refreshing actress who can play every kind of role.
She played both in serious movies and in comedies without problems. What's wrong with an actress like her? Nothing!!!
Why CBS doesn't promote her? She surely would say that's b/c of the economic crisis. Well, I don't give a damn thing to the crisis (sorry Em, I love you, but that's just stupid ) b/c some times people know how to be totally blind! I mean it's the best show you have and you can't even promote your lead actress?

CBS people let's realize that EMILY PROCTER IS YOUR LEAD ACTRESS!!!..whether you like it or not!
But, then again, I guess that sometimes people are too stubborn and thick-headed to ever think about this aspect, which is just an established fact!!!

Same thing for all the other actors of this list, even if they're not CBS lead actors
Sorry, but I really felt that someone had to explain CBS people who they're having among their employess and completely ignore

Re: News Bullets

Like Florry mentioned, we already discussed this in Emily thread, and yeah, I've to agree with Florry. I don't run An Award For Emily or anything else, but i'm huge, really huge fan and I keep saying...

I think Emily and, also, CSI:Miami doesn't received how much 'love' they deserve. But still, she deserves so much more. I really can't get it, she as an huge fanbase, like Lusiana mentioned, some stats show that Emily is the most loved CSI:Miami star, we can also see in that Forensic Science article that someone said while ago. I don't know what they need more to realize how potencial Emily has
