Eads Misses Petersen 'Desperately'

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star George Eads (Nick Stokes) misses William Petersen (Gil Grissom), but he admires the show's new leading man, Laurence Fishburne (Dr Ray Langston).

Petersen left CSI after nearly a decade. "I miss Billy desperately," Eads told The Jacksonville Observer. Even though he is no longer starring on the series, Petersen still has a presence behind the scenes. While shooting season nine, Eads explained, Petersen "came by the set to visit with some family members. He looked at me, put up his dukes and said, 'Boy, I'll knock you out.'"

"That's life, isn't it?" Eads continued. "Sometimes our experience with someone is brief. Everything is so temporary."

Despite missing Petersen, Eads has enjoyed having Fishburne around. "It's been nice, though, to have someone come on that I so admire," Eads explained. "I learn as much as I can from him."

The original interview is from The Jacksonville Observer.
