'CSI' And 'New York' Details Revealed

    Two members of the franchise divulge secrets.<p>According to <A class="link" HREF="http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/">Ausiello</a>, an upcoming episode of <I>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation</I> will find the team investigating the death of a science fiction icon at an event similar to <A class="link" HREF="http://www.comic-con.org/">Comic-Con</a>. Over on <I>CSI: New York</I>, Adam Ross (<font color=yellow>AJ Buckley</font>) will get to play the hero, as reported by <A class="link" HREF="http://www.tvguide.com/">TV Guide</a>. Based on CSI Files sources, Adam rescues a man in <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/newyork/season5/green_piece.shtml">"Green Piece"</a> after a bomb explodes. Please be aware that it contains major spoilers.)<p>"Green Piece" will also feature a big development for two members of the <I>New York</I> team. In the episode, set to air March 11, Danny Messer (<font color=yellow>Carmine Giovinazzo</font>) and Lindsay Monroe (<font color=yellow>Anna Belknap</font>) will make their relationship official. The characters are expecting a child on the show, and Belknap is pregnant with her second child in real life. In order to accommodate the actress's maternity leave, Lindsay will take a trip home to Montana to "share her pregnancy with her family," according to executive producer <font color=yellow>Pam Veasey</font>.<p>In casting news, <font color=yellow>Charisma Carpenter</font> is set to appear in an upcoming episode of <I>CSI</I>. The episode, titled "Descent of Man", will feature Carpenter as a skydiver called Mink. <I>TV Guide</I> said the character is "fun and memorable." <font color=yellow>Katharine McPhee</font> will follow in the footsteps of fellow <I>American Idol</I> contestant <font color=yellow>Chris Daughtry</font> (<A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/newyork/season5/my_name_is_mac_taylor.shtml">"My Name is Mac Taylor"</a>) by guest-starring on <I>CSI: NY</I>. She'll play a singer and will perform during the episode, which is scheduled to air in April.<p><font color=yellow>Ben Morrison</font> had to learn how to speak Gaelic overnight to audition for a role in an upcoming episode of <I>New York</I>. "I hopped on <A class="link" HREF="http://twitter.com/home">Twitter</a> and sent a message asking if anyone out there could pronounce Gaelic," the actor told the <A class="link" HREF="http://laist.com/">LAist</a>. "An hour later I had more incoming Gaelic [than] the Dublin airport. I was floored." Morrison landed the role and posted a <A class="link" HREF="http://twitter.com/benthemorrison/status/1153918967">thank you</a> to the people who helped him.
