'Miami' Gets A Visit From A Familiar Face

An old friend returns in a time of need.

Khandi Alexander (Dr Alexx Woods) said goodbye to CSI: Miami at the end of season six. However, the door was left open for the actress to return. The series will bring Alexx back in an episode due to air early in 2009.

As of right now, Alexander is only scheduled to return for one episode. According to CSI Files sources, the episode will be 7.14, tentatively titled "Smoke Gets in Your CSIs". The episode finds another member of the team in danger. (To find out who, check out this recent spoiler, located at the bottom of the article.)

In February, Alexander will film Treme, the pilot for an HBO series set in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Named after an area famous for music and musicians, Treme will show the citizens of the city trying to rebuild in the wake of the hurricane's devastation. Alexander will star as Ladonna, a mother of two trying to keep her bar in business. Wendell Pierce will star as Ladonna's ex-husband, a jazz-trombonist.

The original news is from TV Guide.

That's great. I'd love to see here come back. Can't wait to see the episode.

And her new show sounds interesting. Hurricane Katrina fascinates me.
