Harper And Fox Support Obama

The DNC gets some support from CSI.

CSI: New York's Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) has known Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama since the pair attended Harvard Law School together 20 years ago. "This is a historic week and a historic moment," he said in a video for his new For Real Solutions website. The site was created as a place to discuss how to fix the problems facing America today.

"We know what the issues are. We can Google the problem," he said, going on to suggest, "Let's talk about solutions." One problem in need of attention relates to the upcoming presidential election. "That's why I'm here," he explained, "to learn about the solutions of how to fight against voter apathy, how to get people registered to vote, and how to get people to vote come election day."

Harper is in Denver, Colorado at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) to lend his support to the Obama campaign. "It's phenomenal," he told Showbiz Tonight, to see his long-time friend in the running to be the next president of the United States. Harper gave some personal insight into a side of Obama that the public might not see. "Number one, he's the most authentic person you'll ever meet," Harper explained. "He's a complete truth-teller and he's very authentic and he's extremely genuine." The actor also spoke about Obama's sense of humor. "It seems that they're always talking about extremely serious issues," Harper said, "but he's an extremely, extremely witty and funny guy and I just appreciate him so much."

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) is another member of the franchise attending the DNC. The actress has been a fan of Obama since his keynote speech during the 2004 convention. "I just feel blessed to be a part of it," she told TV Guide's The Biz. "Every major historic event in history needs a devoted and excited audience and I get to be one of those people."

I don't know how Hill can say he's a 'complete truth-teller' when the evidence is clear that he voted against protecting newborn babies and then turned around and lied about it. I don't know why people just ignore things they don't like even when the evidence is right there indisputable.
