Work doesn't follow this doctor home--it's already there.
According to CSI Files sources, the third episode of CSI: Miami's seventh season will be called "Head Case". The episode opens at night in the suburbs, focusing on a large, beautiful house. Inside is a home office where Dr Rachel Marsh occupies a high-backed chair.
Someone is sitting on a nearby chaise lounge. Dr Marsh is holding a pen and paper in her hands, and there's a hint of fear in her eyes as the man speaks. He's telling her his darkest secrets in confidence--she's his psychiatrist. What he's telling her is clearly making her uneasy: he's describing a dream he had in which he killed her. If he killed her for real, he knows just how he'd do it.
Dr Marsh tells the man that if he's making a threat, she'll have to tell the police. He points out that he is supposed to be able to tell her anything, so she has him continue. He describes sneaking into her office while she waits, unaware of what is coming. He feels powerful and in control. He thinks of every different way he can defile her body.
The man keeps talking, but Dr Marsh cuts him off--their time is up. However, the chilling words seem to be an omen. Later that night, a dark shape can be seen sneaking up behind a woman in the office, carrying a blade. The woman is leaning over the desk, unaware that she is not alone. The person wielding the weapon strikes, bringing the blade down and stabbing it through the woman's neck, causing her to fall to the floor. Blood pools around the body.
Horatio's team comes to the scene. The victim is not Dr Marsh--it's her 16-year-old daughter Chelsea. Dr Marsh found the body and called the police. Delko has been to this house before: Dr Marsh was his psychiatrist. He didn't know she had a daughter. In fact, he laments that he didn't know much about her at all, despite everything she knew about him. He wants to help her in return for all she's done for him by finding the person who killed her daughter.
Dr Marsh insists that nobody would have a reason to kill her daughter. The coroner finds evidence of anti-depressants and anti-psychotics in Chelsea's system. Dr Marsh denies giving her daughter the drugs, so they suspect that Chelsea was in the office to use her mother's prescription pad. The team discovers a smear of blood on the chaise lounge that leads them to one of Dr Marsh's patients: a teenage girl that went to school with Chelsea.
Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from early script drafts and the details of the episodes are liable to change before the episodes are shown.
"Head Case" is expected to air October 6 on CBS.
