Spoiler Bullets

New information has surfaced for all three members of the CSI franchise regarding the upcoming season. Spoilers ahead!

  • The dominatrix Lady Heather (Melinda Clarke) will return in the fifth episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's ninth season. (Source)

  • According to Ausiello, Megalyn Echikunwoke will be playing the new coroner on CSI: Miami.

  • John Malkovich was approached to play the new male character on CSI, but things didn't work out. (Source)

  • Speaking of the new character, he will have "a genetic complex, a number of different genes and elements, that have been correlated with criminal behavior," according to executive producer Naren Shankar. The character will study criminals to explore who he is:

In a sense it's like holding up a mirror to himself, but in an exciting and interesting way -- it's a new career… It's really about a guy exploring who he is, trying to use the world of solving murders and violent killers to understand his own soul.

The original information is from the Chicago Tribune

  • CSI: New York will welcome a new recurring character in the form of Samantha Flack, the sister of resident detective Don Flack (Eddie Cahill). Samantha will be played by Kathleen Munroe, and executive producer Pam Veasey described the character as "a bad girl." Veasey went on to say, "She's trouble. It's a great dynamic." (Source: Ausiello)

  • Even though CSI is bringing in several new characters, it's not an attempt to replace Gil Grissom (William Petersen). "It's about adding elements that will contribute to the alchemy of the show that made it what it is today," CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler explained. Petersen will remain on the show as an executive producer, and Tassler said Grissom isn't gone for good: "We haven't seen the last of him."

  • According to TV Watcher, the seventh episode of CSI will revolve around the Miniature Killer, Natalie (Jessica Collins).

Re: Spoiler Bullets

Absolutely great that Melinda Clarke is returning to CSI. She was great in her last four episodes, and I look forward to seeing what she brings to the table this time.
