Okay, so last night I was watching a repeat of Miami and Eric asked Ryan if he was dating anyone. And Ryan said he was kind of taking a break right now. We all know what Valera went through with Nick (Natalia's ex). So, this song from "Music & Lyrics" could fit Ryan and Valera perfectly. Cool idea! "Leaving You on the Pavement" by Catherine Feeny reminds me of them. Well I hate to be a cliche, hate it even more to let you get your way. These lines make me think of one scene in particular. In that cap from the ep "Dead Air" where Ryan's standing by Valera and he's on the phone, I swear it looks like his hand is on her arm. Every time these songs come on my playlist I think of R/V, the first one because I don't think there's very many people Ryan would open up to unless he really truly loved them, and I think once he falls in love he'd let more of his vulnerable side out and hence become a clingy mess (then again we all love neurotic Ryan). And the second one because they have the same dark green color eyes. Ugh, I don't listen to Aqualung often. I hate myself for liking this song. Hey guys, I just want to remind you all of the rules of song-threads. I've noticed that people are simply pasting song lyrics in and posting them which is a little... pointless? Isn't the idea to inspire discussion, other creative things and the like? I've never heard this cover but I love this song. The Postal Service needs to come back immediately. I've got a couple on the fanfic thread. They are rewrites of the the eps "Nailed" and "Three-Way" (they're ficlets). Then I've got "Mistrust and Consquences" that has some Rave in it. And "Never Alone" is a longer, still in progress fic that is mostly Rave.
I don't know who the song is by, but I heard it on an episode of CSI: NY. The song is called "Goodbye My Almost Lover" or at least I think that's the title. Anyone know who it is by? Anyway, that song made me think of the scene between Ryan and Valera when she was put on leave after that one incident (can't remember the name of the ep). The looks on both of their faces just looks like they're both so sad not to get to see each other anymore. And I think that song would fit that moment for them.
