The Truth Always Comes To The Surface

The past has a habit of catching up with people.

According to CSI Files sources, the fifteenth episode of CSI: Miami will be called "Ambush". Things start out in the Everglades, where Bart and Duncan, two guys in their late teens, are riding an airboat over the water. Bart is clearly used to this, and he drives the boat fast, taking sharp turns just for fun. Duncan is uncomfortable, and he obviously wants Bart to take it easy and slow down.

Bart stops the boat and asks Duncan to hand him a gigger. While Duncan tries to figure out just what in the heck that is, Bart drops something in the water. Duncan hits the deck in a panic as something explodes next to the boat. Bart just laughs at him, revealing that what he dropped was an explosive. Why fish the old fashioned way when you can catch them faster like this?

Duncan points out that the three fish bobbing in the water aren't a hell of a lot. Bart responds by lighting a stick of dynamite and tossing it far out over the water. This should give them a lot more bang for their buck. The explosion is massive, displacing the water and causing countless fish to come to the surface in its wake. Bart is triumphant, but Duncan is staring at one of the objects floating in the water. That's not a fish, it's part of a human arm.

The MDPD shows up, and Tripp talks to Bart about what happened as Horatio watches silver BMW being pulled from the water. Bart explains that he jumped into the water, thinking he'd hit someone with his explosives, and found an already-dead body instead. Tripp leaves Bart and Duncan and goes to talk to Horatio. Horatio recognizes the car and the victim: Kathleen Newberry, the woman Kyle kidnapped in "Dangerous Son".

Tripp points out that Kathleen has been missing for more than a week. Kyle got out of jail because his mother, Julia Winston, paid Kathleen to disappear in "Raising Caine", but now she's dead and the money is gone. Is Julia involved? Things get more complicated when the memory card from Calleigh's camera is stolen, and it becomes obvious that someone is trying to cause trouble for her by opening a website and posting her crime scene photos. To make matters worse, Horatio may finally have to face consequences for what happened to Antonio Riaz in Brazil ("Rio").

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from early script drafts and the details of the episodes are liable to change before the episodes are shown.

"Ambush" is expected to air March 31.

This sounds like a lot of wacky for just one episode, doesn't it?

It is Miami...or As Horatio's World Turns. I kid, I kid. But that does sound like a lot of drama for one episode. And the Riaz stuff coming back to haunt H??? I wonder if that has something to do with his custody battle.
