Never underestimate the throngs of country music lovers in this country. ;)
But I do agree, it will be the last of the franchise to go; and hopefully, it will be given a big send-off season when it does.

Grr why couldn't CSI stay Thursdays at nine. Well now that would be on the same time as Glee, but I wanted to watch Nashville. I'm so busy on Wednesdays. 10 is so late...But I always make time for CSI ;) I agree. This show will be the last to go in the franchise. It deserves the biggest farewell. If it goes before NY there will be problems lol.

I agree they are killing the series by let it at 10 pm... Now Ted is the at the head of CSI let him a chance to be in prime time (he's not Laurence Fishburne !)

While I can appreciate the facts in this article, I don't think I can tolerate more Viagra commercials. Choosing to ignore the younger generation is short-sighted, IMO.

Oh, boy. Something tells me CSI will be in trouble next week. EW gave Nashville an A and it is #1 on their Must List. I have a feeling CSI is going to get trampled.

But it doesn't matter if Nashville beats CSI in its timeslot, CBS won't cancel timeslot losers, it will cancel the lowest rated shows on the network. CSI NY, Made in Jersey, Partners, Blue Bloods, Hawaii Five-0 and The Good Wife have lower ratings and Vegas and Elementary are dropping pretty quickly. It would take a colossal ratings plunge for the show to be cancelled in my opinion.

Yeah, CSI is safe. If anything, I see this being CSI:NY's last season and CSI will be shipped back to its original timeslot on Friday where it could last for a few more seasons as long as CBS can still make a profit off of it.

They didn't get blown away by Nashville.

Lead the 10pm timeslot (10.58 million) and second in the 18-49 demo (2.6/7 share)

Wow, I'm pretty surprised truth be told. After being pre-empted last week, two shows premiering in its timeslot and for it not being a season premiere I was not expecting a rise at all!

As for year to year, it's got pretty much identical ratings to "Maid Man" which aired on October 12 last year. So it seems like it's pretty stable year-to-year. :)

(Of course if it's adjusted down in finals you can completely ignore this post. :p)

Nashville was available for free download on iTunes. I hope that didn't affect it. We'll see next week...
