Yikes! that's a big drop from the last episode... but then again there was a sports game on Fox, so some people could have been watching that.

Yeah. And maybe because of the storyline, a woman gets hurt, people didn't like that.

TV ratings sites are already saying that CSI: NY is likely to be cancelled. Link. :(

I hope Miami will go along with it.

But it wouldn't surprise me though.

Miami is most likely coming back for another season because AMC just bought the rights to air all repeats, including for two more seasons if the show gets two more. I'm fairly certain Miami will get at least one more season. They most likely would not cancel two CSI shows in one season.

Feels like CBS is treating NY worse than it did for Cold Case.

Just thought of something.. Wouldn't it help CBS budget wise if they didn't have Miami and A&E took over it's rights?

No, because CBS would be getting money when Miami airs on AMC, so that gives CBS more budget wise. If they got rid of Miami, they probably wouldn't be getting the money anymore... or at least not as much.

I'm still holding out for CSI:NY to get another season, it's much better than Miami, IMO if any should go, it's that. The new syndication deal will probably keep it around for a while. I think unless NY gets a similar deal soon, it's gone :(

I highly doubt that if it got another syndication deal then it would be renewed for a 9th season. There's a reason why there's only 18 episodes ordered and it's going on a hiatus...

The initial reason given for the 18 episodes was something to do with CBS' budget. Miami only got 19 episodes and its likely to return for another season. Vegas only got 22 episodes as opposed to its usual 23 to 24 episodes.

Precisely, NY got the least amount.
