Criminal Minds #5

Is this season worth catching up to? I've heard some very mixed reviews, I stopped about 2 seasons ago? I just watch the old seasons now mainly

It's hard to say. I've enjoyed this season, but I know all of the cast changes have soured the show for a lot of fans. It might be worth checking out a few episodes if you've got the time, just to see how you feel about it. (But if you mean catching up on the past two seasons and whatnot, I'm not sure. That's a lot of episodes to commit to! ;))

I thought it was alright, the last season had its ups and downs. This season I'm not watching since Hotch left and that's just one too many cast changes for me.

yeah this is my main holdback.. I think maybe there's been one too many cast changes for me to enjoy it now. It's kind of like post-season 8 CSI, or post-season 7 x-files where it just felt like a whole new show altogether

Yeah, and it's so unfortunate when that happens to shows. I'd rather they go out when they're on top. I watched the last special episode of CSI (not having seen it since season 8-ish after Grissom left) and was like "who are all these people and why should I care?" Yeah, of course it makes sense since I hadn't seen it since those new characters entered, but I don't think I'd have cared even then. It felt so anticlimactic. I knew Lady Heather and Lindsey for example and was still meh. Criminal Minds had some really amazing episodes in the last season, but its glory days has come and passed.

Also, am I the only one who is genuinely pissed that Reid can't be given a break when it comes to his love life? Everyone else seems to get a lot of attention there, and the one actual time he did it ended horridly. Give the dude a break, let him find a geekgirl to have some smart kids with. Geez.

Criminal Minds: Shemar Moore Returns — Find Out Why and For How Long

It will be all hands on deck as CBS’ Criminal Minds brings its season — and possibly an ongoing manhunt — to a close.

TVLine has learned that original cast member Shemar Moore, who exited the series almost a year ago, will reprise his role of Derek Morgan as a guest star in the Season 12 finale, airing Wednesday, May 10.

In the season ender, Morgan brings the BAU a lead in the case against serial killer/escaped convict Mr. Scratch, who has wreaked havoc, sometimes of a quite personal nature, all season. Among his myriad illicit and illegal affronts, Scratch is to blame for longtime team member Aaron Hotchner entering WITSEC with his son Jack, who had been stalked by the BAU’s irrepressible adversary. (That sad, off-screen twist paved the way for the CBS series to accommodate the absence of series vet Thomas Gibson, who was terminated last August after an on-set physical altercation with a writer/producer.)

Moore recently was added to the cast of CBS’ Shawn Ryan-produced S.W.A.T. pilot, which is inspired by the 2003 film and will be directed by Justin Lin.
