    CSI:Miami is cancelled.

Well! Just watched the CSI:NY season 8 finale. What a great way to end an 8-season run of a great show... Oh, hang on a minute. It wasn't NY they cancelled, was it! It was the one they didn't make a suitable finale for... :wtf:

    CSI:Miami is cancelled.

According to the CSI FILES homepage here, the decision was nothing to do with ratings or budgets. Apparently the real reason is that it made more sense to have three programmes based around New York following each other in the schedules. "More sense" to whom?! :wtf:

    CSI:Miami is cancelled.

OK, we all knew it was bound to happen some time, but what pisses me off is that it was cancelled after the last episode had aired (in the US at least - haven't seen it yet), so we don't even get a good send-off for the show. And don't get me started on all the unresolved storylines! (Here's an...

    Horatio/DC #15: 'Back To Basics'

Sounds like the death knell for CSI Miami then, if he's "had his fill of TV"! But yes, it'll be good to see him doing something different.

    Season 9 in the UK

I watched the finale on Five on Tuesday, then again an hour later on 5+1, and just watched the re-run tonight! And I have to say, I really liked it. Good screen-time for everyone (except Ryan, but... that's OK with me!), and nice to see Frank being a grumpy old git extraordinaire! Oh, I love...

Do I detect a note of cynicism, people?!! :guffaw::rolleyes:

    Season 9 in the UK

Makes me laugh too, Andy - every time! But Horatio is never in danger of getting shot because, I've noticed, the bad guys can only ever hit nameless officers in uniform. It's like in Star Trek: you just know that the un-named, never-before-seen ensign that joins the away team is DOOMED!! Oh, and...

    Season 9 in the UK

OK, last week's episode I really liked. I knew it reminded me of something, and I've just been watching Season 8 on DVD and realised it reminded me of the episode Hostile Takeover (8/2) - a guy doing some pretty bad stuff just to prove that he wasn't the bad guy, and actually losing his own...

    Season 9 in the UK

Lol - don't worry about it! I'm getting thoroughly confused, not to mention spoilered, because my son's in the States at the moment and he keeps talking about the Miami he's watching, then remembering he's a season ahead! And I'm easily confused!!

    Season 9 in the UK

Where are you watching from, Andy? The thread is discussing Season 9 as it's being shown in the UK, so if you're out of sync with that, I'm afraid you're gonna get spoilers! :( ;)

    Season 9 in the UK

Yes, you're right, Solitaire: it's next week's episode with Nat in trouble - I was reading the wrong TV schedule! Can't say I really noticed the clothes, but I too raised an eyebrow at Horatio's "You can't take justice into your own hands" line - a case of "do as I say and not as I do" if ever...

    Season 9 in the UK

Andy - a guy was pulled in as a suspect in a case based solely on the fact that he had hit his wife, who was a friend of the victim. He was not guilty of the murder, but at the end of the episode, Horatio had him dragged into an interview room, locked the door, closed the blinds, and was...

    Season 9 in the UK

He did - he made him pee his pants!! I loved that bit - making the guy crawl in the dirt and scaring the b'juicies out of him. I really enjoyed the whole episode actually. And tres multilingual aussi!

    Season 9 in the UK

Thanks - actually, the mugging incident finally got the school (teachers and pupils alike) to take things seriously, and he hasn't been bothered once by anybody since then. Also, we took the little b******d to court and got him locked up for six months, and when he came out, he saw my son one...

    Season 9 in the UK

I thought it was a good episode too, and as the mom of a child who was seriously bullied at school, even to the extreme of being mugged and beaten up in the street, I can totally understand what drove the parents, especially in their case when everyone else was too scared of being sued, wrongly...
