Thursday night football in the Fall will be the CBS regular programming. That means when football season ends in December, their Thursday night show lineup will start. Then in March they will have basketball. So yes, I can see at least a few shows having a 13 episode season.
While I agree that they've been setting up Crawford to take over for Brass all season (dude who plays him seems to be a Don McGill favorite), I don't see him bringing in the fans either. As I recall, the ratings tend to go up when Brass is in the episode.
If they really wanted to save some...
I'm glad he gets to move on and hopefully, do other things now. I'm also glad I will no longer have to watch this show after this season.
I wish Paul could have left on his own terms and I hope they give him a proper send off but I'm not optimistic. They haven't known what to do with...
According to an interview Paul did for this site back in 2012: "I’m taking episodes off because it’s a way to save some money on the show, for financial reasons." He then said it works out for him because he and his family live in NYC but he does allude to the business side of it.
They completely ignored everything they've written about Brass' past for the first 9 seasons (I don't count 10 -13 because they were an an abomination for Brass as well as a few others). I about choked when Nancy accused him of being a bad husband. She was the one who was "open 24/7" and he's...
You mean like when they completely turned everything we know about Brass on its ear when they made him hide evidence to support Ray? That's pretty much the poster child for "making a character behave in some absurd way for the sake of making something fit into a dramatic plot point".
Yup...
I wouldn't mind if it were Brass because I'd love to quit watching this show if they killed him off. However, Brass is a main character and despite the last few seasons, was a big part of the team. I'd hate to think they'd brush his death off like any other recurring character death. He...
But isn't that what he and the rest of the CSIs did for the first what, 9 seasons? And they made that interesting. Seems to me that it's only been in the few seasons - as the original writers left - that CSIs have been more and more like cops. If it's all about Nick being a cop so he can have...
I'm sure leaving out Sara and making it known in the previous episode that she wouldn't be around didn't help matters. Kind of shot themselves in the foot with that one.
This.
Everything you said is exactly my feeling too. They have a perfect opportunity to bring back the Brass and Grissom bromance of seasons past only now with DB but the writers still don't know what to do with Brass (or any other detective for that matter) and now he's been reduced to...
